Meet Jenny

Your guide through 1912 (with paws-on commentary)

Jenny is inspired by accounts of a ship’s cat aboard ocean liners of the era. On this site, she’s your friendly narrator: light humour when it helps, clear caveats when details are debated, and quick tips to find the good stuff fast.

  • Plain language: Jenny translates archival jargon into human-friendly notes.
  • Context over trivia: Less “how many spoons,” more “who was in the boat and why.”
  • Source-aware: When versions conflict, Jenny points it out—no tall tails. (Pun intended.)
  • Optional tone: Don’t want a cat narrator? Toggle her notes off in the footer.
Jenny’s note: “History is better with snacks and citations. I can help with at least one of those.”
